Biography
Lorenz Gude, a founding companion of the Fourth Order, grew up on a farm in New Hampshire where he remembers one evening seeing God in the eye of a Jersey cow.  Lorenz was the publisher of the infamous "C" Press which was the early venue for the New York School featuring covers by Andy Warhol and the works of poets such as Ted Berrigan and Ron Padgett. Lorenz’s photographs document that period in American literature in several books. Lorenz has taught media and photography in the US and Australia, has been a Harley dealer, a consultant in Aboriginal education, a therapist, and a gold miner in Zimbabwe. Lorenz lives in Western Australia and blogs at Yankee Wombat and New Media Theory. Currently Lorenz is collaboration with this son, Julian, on short photographic video meditation pieces at their site Pencil of Nature. His work can also be found on YouTube.
